Where to buy carpet

Any recommendations for somewhere i can purchase carpet and have it cut to the size of our living room like a giant mat.

Horizon Plaza has various carpet joints. Princes building has a high end carpet shop that cuts to size. Nice patterns but very expensive.

Do you live near Sai Kung? There is a fabric/carpet shop called Canan which is on the same street as StarBucks, just a couple of doors down. They have lots of different carpet samples to choose from and they will make to whatever size you want. Just had a 12ft x 8ft made in 3 days and it cost HKD1300 including delivery.

i have ordered 2 carpets from a shop in Wan chai - any size or design you want - I use the Rug Company website with all their designed rugs and last one they copied for me was a Paul Smith - really large one for something like 6,000Hk and the one I am getting from them at the moment is a Vivienne Westwood copy for HK4,500 - great quality - was quite amazed. they would do your own design if you would like - let me know if you would like details I will PM them to you.

hi spurs - might as well post it here - the shop in called Lux Curtain - i cant remember the address exactly - towards the end of Queen's Rd in Wan Chai - but here is the email address (the lady's name is Ariel)

As i wrote to neenib directly - first they send you a drawing by email to make sure you are happy, then they make a 3ft by 3ft sample and bring it over to you to check - I for example said, no the green is wrong and the blue is wrong - so the next time Ariel turned up at my office with all those wool swatches!! I had to chose the green i want and blue i want from something like 50 colors each!! Then the rug takes 4-5 wks - all in all brilliant!

wow, thanks so much! I am very keen on vivienne's blue squiggle - it had never entered my mind that i could have the design copied. so excited!

you can use any design really - even your own - i just find it each to use someone else's ideas (Paul Smith etc! :) ) - as am not very creative myself!!
