Life Assurance During Typhoon 8 Posted by mbyrne (106 days ago) Can anybody give me some direction as to whether a Life Assurance policy becomes invalid when a Typhoon 8 or above is in-force? Appreciate that policies are varied and wide. Just a general idea would be fine. (I am based in Jakarta) Posted by christian_moore (102 days ago) No life policy in HK would place an exclusion on weather conditions. generally the only thing not covered once the policy is issued is topping yourself in the first policy year (I am based in Hong Kong) Posted by GreenValleys (102 days ago) In terms of policy exclusions the common ones are suicide in the first 13 months after issue or reinstatement (after lapse), war (whether declared or not), nuclear fall-out (and related matters), capital punishment plus a cople of others I cannot recall right now. If your question is more than just interest you should check the policy wording or (in the case of a future policy) check with the insurer/broker. (I am based in Jakarta) |
