Reason for sale? Simply that I just upgraded to her bigger brother XPS M1530. I don't travel much so a bigger screen makes more sense for my failing eyesight. Bought in September 2006 in the States it is just over two years old. the Service TAG no. is 4299VB1 and you can use this to check the original specifications and other info of this laptop on Dell's website, http://www.dell.com and http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/my_systems_info/details?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh&servicetag=4299VB1
All in all it is in very good condition and also benefits from an original Dell supplied upgraded 9-cell battery less than 6 months ago giving it a battery life of over three hours easily. Original 6 cells battery will be included, too but it can only hold less than 30 mins charge. A second Dell original Adaptor is also included so you don't have to carry the adaptor between home and office. There are some rubbing mark on the palm rest due to sweaty palms but no cracks bumps or scratches anywhere else. Comes with all original software and boxes as shown in photos.
